Terms of Service

Effective: April 20, 2026  ·  Last updated: April 20, 2026

These terms govern your use of the DiscEarn app and website (collectively, “DiscEarn” or the “Service”). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Plain-English summary: DiscEarn is a tool to help you track your own money. It is not financial advice, we don’t touch your accounts, and we can’t be held responsible for money decisions you make. You can delete your data anytime.

1. What DiscEarn is (and isn’t)

DiscEarn is a personal budgeting app. You enter your financial information manually, and the app organizes it, visualizes your progress, and gamifies the experience of managing your money. DiscEarn does not:

Any decision you make about your finances — spending, saving, investing, paying down debt — is your own. If you need professional advice, please consult a licensed advisor.

2. Your account

To use DiscEarn you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@discearn.app immediately.

You must be at least 13 years old to use DiscEarn. If you are between 13 and 18, you should have a parent or guardian review these terms and our Privacy Policy with you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you’ve violated these terms.

4. Your content

Everything you enter into DiscEarn — transactions, budgets, goals, and so on — remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and display your data solely so the Service can function for you. We do not use your data to train any machine-learning model, to target ads, or to share with third parties except the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy.

5. Fees and subscriptions

DiscEarn is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will notify you in the app and on this page, and no charges will apply to your account without your explicit action.

6. Disclaimers — read this

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of data.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not guarantee that calculations performed by the app (including but not limited to net worth, cashflow projections, debt payoff estimates, and savings-goal timelines) are accurate or complete. All calculations are based on the data you enter and on assumptions that may not reflect your actual circumstances.

You should not rely on DiscEarn as your sole source of truth for financial decisions. Verify any figure that matters using your bank statements, tax records, or a qualified advisor.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DiscEarn and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

8. Termination

You can terminate your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app. When you do, all your data is permanently deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if we believe you’ve violated these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to give you advance notice when the situation allows.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, show an in-app notice on your next app launch. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you may delete your account.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pierce County, Washington, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
